We have lived in Georgia over twenty years, but after 'empty nest' we relocated to north Georgia in November 2012. We are enjoying Georgia's beautiful mountains and lakes. We were licensed to breed in our past location and continued with all licensing requirements in our current location. (Any breeder selling more than one litter per year must be licensed in Georgia). The kennel building is over 30 feet long and has five screened windows and two doors. It uses electric heat or air-conditioning, depending on the season. There is warm water for bathing, and the building is sanitized daily. There is also an inside water tank and vented propane heater for back-up use due to severe weather. For mild weather we use exhaust and barn fans. The large yard containing shade trees is surrounded by a custom 6 foot safety fence. Licensing inspections cover sanitation and cleanliness, humane care and exercise, health and vaccines, pest control and much more. Pups stay in-kennel with their mother until weaned, then when ready, they move in-home daily for additional care and socialization.
